Hiking to Dona Amelia lighthouse- on the island of São Vicente

The hike to Dona Amélia Lighthouse is an experience that combines stunning coastal scenery with the island maritime history. Built in 1894, it is an important historical landmark for navigation in the region.
The hike usually starts in the village of São Pedro and the walking distance is about 2km, by open trail on the cliff.

The route follows trails along the coast, with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a relatively easy route, but with some cliff sections, so it is necessary to pay attention.
From Dona Amélia’s Lighthouse, you will have spectacular views of the west coast of São Vicente.
